Anonymous Story: The Home Run

I was raped by someone I had been dating for 9 months, Inside my own apartment. I was only a freshman back then, dating a sophomore of my school and he would visit me in my apartment regularly. One night, he wanted to move to the next level or in any case, the “home run.” I told him that I didn’t want to because I was a virgin and I wasn’t ready to engage in intercourse. He got mad and started to hold tighter on my wrists that it started to burn (not literally; just the sensation). He asked me: “Mahal mo naman ako diba?” (You love me, right?) Afraid of getting beaten up, I told him that I was okay with it and that I was ready. It really hurt when he started to penetrate me, especially, since I was not lubricated, not even naturally. I bled more than expected. The next day, he stopped texting and calling me. Told me we were through.
